My current rig has a i5 6600 + gtx 960. I want to get a new GPU for now and get a CPU in a couple of years. I have GTX 1660super and RTX 2060 in mind. Will I get too bad of a bottleneck with either of the GPUs? I mean to a point where a 1660super and 2060 isn't even worth it? 1660 super averages 100fps and 2060 averages 120fps. How much could I lose for having a i5 6600 non K

not sure how you came by these numbers, the FPS depends very highly on the game and the graphics settings, and also very highly on the system you are running the GPU in.

The 1660 super has great value, for a 1080p gaming PC it works quite well.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Ipc count is the same imc is the same

Really everything is the same it's just the K has an unlocked multipler and could have a higher chance of having better silicon although with a locked cpu that doesn't matter

If you're considering those GPUs get an RX 5700 instead. It's faster than both.

Also, you won't be bottlenecked too hard, afaik that chip boosts to 4ghz.

If we are comparing gpus

He's not saying he loses performance against the K lol. he's just saying he has the non-k i5 6600, and wants to know what percentage of performance (gpu usage) he'll lose on average.

Saw hardware unboxed videos where the 2060 averaged 120fps and 1660super averaged 100. I'm just wondering how much will I get considering i have a i5 6600

I meant the 5700 non-xt. That can be had for $300-$325. It's cheaper and faster than most RTX 2060s.

With the exception of this one PNY 2060 that's on clearance at Best Buy for $265...

In my country a 1660super is 260usd and a 5600xt/2060 both are 400usd (yes a 280 and 350 usd gpu both cost 400 here) and that's my borderline budget. The 5700 costs over 500 and 5700xt costs 550usd here so I can't consider them since don't have the budget lol

What country is this... Sounds like India lmao, super inflated AMD prices everywhere.

A guy here linked the inventory of a shop called 'Cost To Cost' in New Delhi which seems to have much lower prices than online.

Your GPU will perform as expected

Little to no bottleneck

Yeah it's a country beside India named Bangladesh with very shitty pricing. 1650super = 200usd

1660 = 250usd

1660super = 270usd

1660ti = 320 usd

5600xt/2060 = 400usd

2060super/5700 = 500usd

5700xt = 550usd

Heck 2080super is 1000usd
