I agree but sometimes adding cold water ruins it 

I suggest going full hot boiling water

If adding water is not an option (for whatever reason that may be), put the tea into a shallow cup, and stir it, that will dissipate heat faster. Some people also like pouring parts of it onto/into the cup's saucer to drink it, which also reduces its temperature quickly although it might look strange and seem inappropriate.
A more elaborate way would be to find a small metal cup. Put an icecube into it and then carefully dip it into the hot tea (make sure not to spill any of your tea). The small metal cup will prevent the molten ice cube from diluting the tea while ensuring a reasonable heat transfer due to it being made out of metal.
