Posted May 26, 2020 So I really want some good sound. Im currently running through a nice pioneer receiver sound system. to bose speakers, and a power sub, via spidf. But I want a more compact system. Any ideas? I've tried Logitech surround systems and their best 2.1 systems and I felt those were cheap and not good enough for the occasional loud Music day. Is there a simple but good system anywhere? I would like to eliminate the Big sound system and don't mind large speakers. I just want a simple clean system. Any ideas? Posted May 26, 2020 Usually smaller equals less good. Are you looking to downsize the speakers themselves or just the gear running them? Can you share specific models? Posted May 26, 2020 Author That's what I'm running. Its great but. I want to clean this up some. And another reason. Id like to get away from spdif. and be able to use 3.5 plugs to the pc. I can do with this. But. Next mobo I get might not have the spidf plug

Definitely can find a smaller amplifier, but if you wanted to re use the speakers and sub, 2.1 gets a little.... messy. It can also be tricky to find a good wall mounting solution. I'm torn between recommending new speakers and reusing what you have. Posted May 26, 2020 Author lol yeah I have them mounted on tv swivel mounts. and This is all good and well. as I would do the same with whatever else I get. But I'm having a hard time finding anything better. Is there a smaller amp that would work? This would also need to help run my 15inch sub that the stereo is currently mounted on. Like I said this system is Great, and you can hear it 2 blocks away. but.... I do get ground interference noise . which is annoying. My budget can go up to 300. but I'd prefer not to lol. Probably electrical hum, which shouldn't be a problem with any new system. Something like this should be all you need sitting so close to speakers: https://www.amazon.com/Nobsound-TPA3116D2-Amplifier-Independent-Adjustment/dp/B074J9X3P5/ref=pd_di_sccai_6/146-4092514-4547429?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B074J9X3P5&pd_rd_r=6c6d2546-e11c-4558-b599-dadf11555f0f&pd_rd_w=1czWl&pd_rd_wg=kORzR&pf_rd_p=61ce50cf-2379-4458-9044-fa8b402c702d&pf_rd_r=JJ47TQSQEA7FEGDW4CK8&psc=1&refRID=JJ47TQSQEA7FEGDW4CK8 PC Build in LTT Gallery - JBL J88 - Fostex T50RP (Modded) - Pioneer SE-A1000 vs audio-technica ATH-AD500X - Skullcandy Aviator audio-technica ATH-T400 - CHC Silverado and Laredo - Clip-On Headphone Roundup - Sony LinkBuds
 Posted May 26, 2020 You could look for some efifier or kanto powered speakers. I would personally go for high quality bookshelves speakers and get an amplifier. I've been looking into the micca stuff and smsl stuff. https://www.amazon.com/Micca-OriGain-Compact-Integrated-Amplifier/dp/B01LXV4O6B/ref=sxbs_sxwds-stvp?crid=183C7A68HTF8S&cv_ct_cx=micca+rb42&dchild=1&keywords=micca+rb42&pd_rd_i=B01LXV4O6B&pd_rd_r=71de45f9-c379-4959-b926-d0ead3085827&pd_rd_w=r9pUT&pd_rd_wg=Uw6ue&pf_rd_p=183579a1-f0e6-4556-8e39-8fe08e8f8141&pf_rd_r=C3A0DK825PQA3MBW4P8B&psc=1&qid=1590520548&sprefix=micca+rb%2Caps%2C177&sr=1-3-dd5817a1-1ba7-46c2-8996-f96e7b0f409c https://www.amazon.com/Amplificador-Bluetooth-4-2-soporta-80-Wx2-Salida-amplificador/dp/B071JN7GXN/ref=sr_1_29?dchild=1&keywords=micca&qid=1590520524&sr=8-29 https://www.amazon.com/S-M-S-L-Infineons-Technology-Amplifier-chip,Bluetooth/dp/B081DJD1G4/ref=sxbs_sxwds-stvp?crid=183C7A68HTF8S&cv_ct_cx=micca+rb42&dchild=1&keywords=micca+rb42&pd_rd_i=B081DJD1G4&pd_rd_r=71de45f9-c379-4959-b926-d0ead3085827&pd_rd_w=r9pUT&pd_rd_wg=Uw6ue&pf_rd_p=183579a1-f0e6-4556-8e39-8fe08e8f8141&pf_rd_r=C3A0DK825PQA3MBW4P8B&psc=1&qid=1590520548&sprefix=micca+rb%2Caps%2C177&sr=1-1-dd5817a1-1ba7-46c2-8996-f96e7b0f409c I9 10850K EVGA RTX 3080 TI FTW3 ULTRA 32 Gb Crucial Balistix ddr4 3600mHz 16-18-18-38 MSI Z490 Tomahawk Fractal Design Ion+ 860W platinum Arctic Liquid Freezer II, 360mm WB Black SN750 NVMe ssd TeamGroup L5 3D Lite 1 Tb sata SSD
 Posted June 4, 2020 Having had experience with Logitech 2.1 systems, I can't fathom how they'd possibly not be loud enough for you. My brother had the z623 and it would shake the windows all throughout the house. and it's not a small house. It was actually rather aggravating as he's a total C and has to have them on full volume as much as possible. #Muricaparrotgang
 Posted June 10, 2020 Author LMAO. Yeah I tried logitech 2.1. tghen tried the 5.1. and the best 7.1, all where crap. I added an old grounding box to the outlet and it knocked out most of my hum. Then 2 day ago, the spidif on my amp failed. They all seem to be slowly failing. I may be on the last out of the 6 on the amp. It could be the heat. I will move the printer.
