the game and optifine have changed over those years.

you'll likely just need a new CPU, you can get one now or wait till the fall for new AMD chips to be out.

this cpu was expensive and is better than most that have came out

 

i'll show you the oldest possible version with low settings and see if it makes any difference

all microsoft did was add bees and honey and some pets and dungeons

come on dude 300-500 fps down to 25-80

 

it was 44-73 for a while before i moved to the water to be 100+

and i still can't get any fps close to what i had in 2016 on 2016 version

 

this is minecraft 1.0

this is not a joke

 

i should be getting 1000-2000 fps on 1.0

look at the name you just mentioned. Microsoft, they haven't done great things to performance in the last 20 years.

it was doing 100s-200s-300s for a while looking around

i can't even get what i got with a vine infested skyblock map where everyones computers lagged out on the 770gtx

4850 or 4840 4830 something cpu i forgot

that sounds like a 4th gen intel i5 or i7 which are stronger single core and don't have weird performance issues in multi core workloads.

lowest it went to was 11fps and it was lagging and went to 30s

 

with 2 nodes selected in task manager

1.0 minecraft

it's not the cpu look

it was consistantly 11-80fps with 2 cpu nodes selected with menu showing below 500

 

no resource packs used for 1.0 as well

i changed to 1920x1080 with 144hz and my fps went to 141 then down to 70s and 80s

which is an improvement from hours ago compared to default "fullscreen" 

with shader turned on and texture packs active

 

but i am still lacking hundreds of fps compared to 2016-2017 i started using shaders, with the same texture pack

the texture pack is not the problem as i have shown in 1.0

Minecarft is a single core game so it uses one core for almost everything and once that is maxed out you are at your fps cap.

Microsoft is doing none of the sort.

 

Here's what happend:

 

People got better computers and consoles

They added more features

They made 2 versions

 

So basically the game now expects more than 4 years ago which is kind of normal. Just look at any ongoing game. Over time they got more and more intensive to run so of course you will see performance get worse.

java is what i used during 500-1000fps era and 300-500fps era

and this piss poor excuse of showing 1.0 vanilla minecraft in 2020 can't even sustain 300-500 fps consistantly let alone 1.15

2016-2020 1080ti+1950x now i am lagging for no reason since 2018-2020

it's not that i showed 1.0 and 1.0 is struggling to get anything above 500

and even with 2 cpu nodes selected to make it "single core"friendly it still had the same thing

but i have tested both modes and a hybrid mode in cod mw and game mode had slightly less fps than creator mode

and creator mode is what i used consistantly all those other years as well

give me an answer why someone elses fps is 500+ on 1.14 with i9 garbage but mine is 80 on single player and 77-139 on skyblock using an epic treadripper 1.15

because the i9 has better single core performance and less multcore latency

because updates are suppose to include performance increases with java

not decreases over time

i still don't believe that is the issue or would ever bring me back to the previous fps i had because i showed 1.0 minecraft using 2 nodes(1 core) no shader no texture pack on low graphics where the game is as complex as age of empires 2

 

and being on the bottom of a skyblock map where it's completely empty 1.15 can't even get to what 1.0 had with blocks needing to be generated
