Hi i was wondering which of these is better:

Asrock Radeon RX 5600 XT Phantom Gaming D2: 322.17$

or

XFX AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT THICC III ULTRA: 409.12$

Difference is in 87$

Buy a used 1080 for $300 on ebay. It will perform better than both of those. About 20% better.

Case: InWin 303 Motherboard: Asus TUF X570-Plus Processor: Ryzen R9-3900x GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3070 Ram: 32 GB DDR4 3000 MHZ

? Check YouTube comparisons between 1080 and 5600xt

And then the risk and lack of warranty for a used card...

In every benchmark I watched the 1080 won.

If the graphics card doesn't break when it arrives (in which case you return it), it will likely be fine for several years or more.

I've bought tons of PC hardware off of ebay, and never had an issue. The majority of people will never use a warranty.

Not to mention, the 1080 also has better, more mature drivers. The 5600XT has bad drivers. People always have issues with them.

I would only buy the 5600XT if I had an irrational fear of used electronics.

It's only faster in some titles by about only 5-8%, and for that i'd rather buy a much newer card rather than a second hand hardware. Also going over AMD's track record in drivers, i'd say the 5600xt can maybe surpass a 2060 super or maybe even 2070 in 2-3 years later.

For the same price, I would take the 8 percent increase.

Disregarding the fact that you can only get a 1080 secondhand, then sure, you do you.

What's wrong with secondhand electronics? Like I said, I've never had issues with it. If it isn't dead on arrival you will be fine. If it is dead on arrival you can return it. What percent of people actually use warranty?
