Tell me which graphics card upgrade you think i should get with my pre-built computer that ive never upgraded. The computer i have (Hp h8-1114) came with a 300 watt PSU and I dont want to spend money to upgrade that, so is there a better graphics card than the 750 ti that doesnt require more than 300 watt psu? on Nvidia's website it says minimum watts 300, but the gtx 760 is 500 watts so I dont think that would be good with my computer. So im pretty sure im going for 750 ti, what do u think? Also, if u do think i should get 750 then which brand should i get?

The 750 Ti is probably your best bet.

Get he cheapest one you can find--preferably with an aftermarket cooler.

is this the highest end card that only needs about a 300 watt psu? did nvidia just make it for that reason?

Pretty much.

Get the 750 ti

A nice on is the EVGA SC one (doesn't require an external power connector)

Case: Lian Li PC011-D - CPU: 3900x - GPU: 2080ti Reference - Mobo: Gigabyte - Ram: Corsair 4x16gb 3200MHz - SSD: 2TB Samsung Evo NVME

Yes, it's the best card for an oem 300w psu.

They made it to introduce Maxwell and to fill in the gap between the 600 series and the 760.

I think the GTX 750ti is about the most powerful card you can get that will run comfortably in that build.

PC: Corsair C70 Arctic, FX 9370, Corsair H80i, Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3, Corsair Vengence 16gb, Palit JetStream GTX 970, OCZ Vertex 4 128gb and Western Digital Blue 1Tb + 500gb, Antec Gamer 520w

Peripherals: Logitech G19 and SteelSeries Sensei RAW

Toshiba L50-A: i7 4700mq, 8gb, 1TB HDD, GT 740M 2gb

ok, is nvidia making any other new graphics cards really soon or is 750ti it? also, i get about 150fps on league of legends with a gt 520, what would you estimate it would say with a 750 ti in game, like 250?

Depends on your settings? I don't see why it would matter. League can run on a toaster.

They are using the 750 Ti to introduce Maxwell which should be the 800 series.

im using that as an example. should i wait for 800 series for any better options? if so when is 800 series coming out.. or is the 800 series going to be alot more expensive than 750 ti?

It will be quite a lot more expensive. Consider the launch prices of the 700 series. They should hit the market sometime around the second half of the year.

wtf, just noticed theres a gtx 750 too. i dont see gtx 750 on that benchmark site but it has the 750 ti. evga 750 ti is 150 bucks and evga 750 is 120 bucks, is there a major difference between the 2?

The 750 is worse in pretty much every way and isn't worth considering from what I've seen/read.

alright i decided im going to get the 750 ti but im not sure which one to get. i dont overclock at all so which one would u recommend me to get? i watched the evga FTW version and apparently thats for overclocking so i dont think i should get that one? also, whats the pros/cons 1 fans vs 2 fans on a gpu?

Get whichever is cheapest.

2 fans can be quieter and provide more cooling.

I just noticed something, in all of the 750 ti's by evga msi gigabyte it says they require 400 watt psu and asus doesnt say. so should i get a 750 ti from nvidia instead? i dont want to buy it and not work

they say that because it uses slightly more power (from the fans), so they say 400. You will be fine, they only say 400w because people would murder them if their 300w psi couldn't handle it. You are almost defiantly fine with 300w.

even if its not 80+? idk anything about the psu it just says 300w on the website when i look my computer model up. google h8-1114 and click on the first link it says some specs about my psu idk if its good or not. also, on evga website the one with 2 fans is 85 power draw and it requires an available 6 pin pice connecter while the evga card with 1 fan only has 60 power draw and doesnt require a 6 pin connecter, so which one of those would you get if u were me?

since you just have a 300w psu, I say 1 fan. The dual fan is better for overclocking, but requires external power and with a 300w you probably don't have that. The one fan is perfectly fine, though a bit louder.

Can you take a picture of the side of the PSU? That will tell us everything we need to know. Big OEMS like dell use Delta PSUs and they are actually pretty good, so if its a delta PSU its likely to be completely fine. If its some cheap logysis/diablotek... then... well...

nah i dont have any screw drivers around and dont feel like it, but this is what it says about the psu on my computer model

Internal 300W (100V-240V)
  • Form factor: Internal ATX

  • Total wattage: 300W

  • Nominal input voltage range:

    • 100-127V/6A (50-60Hz)

    • 200-240V/3A (50-60Hz)

  • Dimensions: 150mm x 140mm x 86mm (5.9 x 5.5 x 3.4 inches)

its also hp not dell

Hell of a lot of good you are. Can't help you, sorry, not gonna waste my time trying to help someone that can't be bothered to spend 2 seconds grabbing a screwdriver.

Hate to be "that guy" but you really should just dump that HP and build yourself a real computer!  Companies like HP and Dell intentionally make their PC's in a way that discourages upgrades simply because they'd much rather you just buy another one from them rather than upgrade anything.  By building your own you can not only get the satisfaction of choosing all of your own components and putting it all together yourself, you also now have the option of upgrading and replacing parts as you see fit down the road.

Your exact situation was the impetus for me jumping into computer building a few years ago myself.  I upgraded to a large monitor but my HP with IGP lacked a DVI port so I decided to buy a new video card but quickly realized that the 300W PSU was not enough.  Later I learned that nearly none of the components of that PC could be upgraded due to HP's design choices and finally decided to research building my own.  Best decision I ever made!
