Hello guys im new here ...

Im looking to upgrade my pc on a near future

my current build is a:

gigabyte x470 aorus ultra gaming

16 gigs or ram 2666mhz clocked to 2999mhz xmp

ryzen 5 2600

amd rx590 powercolour

i was thinking to keep the motherboard and wait for zen3 as amd announced zen 3 support for this motherboard or do you guys think a x570 would make sense or should i just stick to my 400 series ?

and for the graphics card ? should i upgrade to a 5700xt or wait for the new amd or nvidia cards ? thank you in advance

nvidia has been kinda wack lately, the rx 5700 xt is just as powerful as an rtx 2070 super, but the rx 5700 xt is around $100 cheaper

and a ryzen 5 2600 should be plenty, if your having trouble with it then you can borrow my fine tuned oc thats directed towards people who still have a stock cooler. 1.35v running at 4050mhz, it's just shy of being as powerful as a ryzen 5 2600x by 30 points in cinebench give or take. and the oc is extremely stable.

if you decide you do want to use that setup then apply it and run it in cinebench, if it doesnt crash then trying increasing the mhz every so slightly, but i cant promise you will get stability if its above 4050mhz.

Wait to see what Ryzen 4000 brings. If it's a significant upgrade over Ryzen 3000, shoot for one of those and you'll be able to stay on your AM4 platform for years. If it's not a major upgrade, shoot for a new GPU for now and buy a Ryzen 3000 or 4000 when they're dirt ass cheap in a year or two. With new CPUs and GPUs right around the corner it'd be smart to wait and watch for price drops. You shouldn't be in any rush to upgrade, your system is still quite good.

since your processor is plenty good enough and how the 400 series is in the most convenient place it could possibly at the moment, all you really need is to get something like an rx 5700 xt and you will be good to go.

no point in spending more money than you need to right? but hey, thats just my opinion.

just in case you didnt know about it, you should check this out for yourself https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/vsr

it keeps games like ark and destiny 2 from looking like a pixelated hell, just osmething you can use for the games that are not as demanding.

amd had only made that decision because of how badly the community lashed back at them lol

because they originally werent going to enable support for 400 series cards
