What's my PC's current power usage (Watts)?

penguin8967

Specs of my prebuilt PC are as follows:

  • i5 9500 (6 core) with a 65W TDP
  • Single channel 16GB DDR4
  • 512GB NVMe SSD
  • 260W Bronze 80+ PSU
  • Single rear case fan

What do you think the power usage of this is? I'm hoping to add a graphics card at some point, and I've been looking at the GT 1030 (only 30W TDP) since I don't play very intensive games, or if it would stretch to 75W, a 1050Ti or 1650.

Upgrading soon to an ITX GTX 1650 (4GB).

Around 65W at full load, usually lower.

So I would defo be able to run a GT 1030, but do you think a 75W card like the 1650 would work?

Most likely, but it depends on the particular PSU you have, you should post its model or a photo of it.

You can easily throw a 75w card in.

K, you sure it won't kill the PSU lol

yeah you can throw in a 1650

What's the best value card? I would be able to go used, but preferably spend under 拢100 (UK).

I think you can find a used 1650 for around 100, that would be the best choice.

So I'm stuck between choosing a 1030, 1050 Ti and 1650, but I also don't want to spend much. Any ideas?
