clicking on audio/volume icon does nothing after you restart

this is temporarily fixed by restarting 'windows explorer'

happened on old laptop also, now happens on new laptop (i hate computer, it's 2020...)

how to permanently fix?

image.png.a03a89ad247d7a843c2efe6e63f587f1.pngTry this, if you right click on the taskbar and then click Task Manager, then go over to the start up tab, there might be a program with either "Realtek" or "Audio" somewhere in the name, double check that this is switched to "Enabled"?
