So basically my PC won't boot at all but what kind of lead up to this is my CPU would sometimes hit 100% usage but with no apps in task manager showing. I would have to force shutdown my PC to get it to stop and then sometimes I'd get a critical process died Bsod upon booting. Anytime I would unplug my PC it would turn on until I unplug and reseat things and eventually it would turn on but now it won't even do that. PSU was tested with paper clip method. If I remove the Cmos and replace it, the mobo light will come on but when I power it up I get nothing but all the fans running at like 100% speed. I tried a different psu with the same results. Gonna breadboard it tomorrow and try one last time just to completely rule out the PSU.

i7 6700k, corsair 800w psu, asus z170a board.

As for the OS, format the drive and do a clean OS install.

Now for hardware, there are a couple of things to check:

Ruling out the PSU is important, as it can cause the most harm if defective.

I am guessing your system has not been moved outside of the case recently?

No new cables plugged in or old ones moved?

Too much power draw on some cables can cause issues with powering up the motherboard.

Did you overclock the CPU before? Maybe the motherboard is just done for. The fans run directly off the motherboard and controlled through bios. That means the logic still works but something is preventing the relay from turning the system on.

Check all cables for proper seating and possible damages. Also remove drive cables RGB stuff if you have it, pretty much everything non essential.

Malware is not the problem... I've pretty much ruled the cpu or board at this point. Nothing has been moved or changed. It just doesn't turn on at all if It gets unplugged. I shut it down and unplug the surge protector when storms roll through to be extra safe and when I do that it just doesn't work. Usually i can make it work but this time no dice. It's never been OCd. I have already ordered a new Mobo and cpu, but would like to hopefully sell the cpu if it turns out to be OK.
