Lol ok, another thing what do you even use this pc for?

I do a lot of 3D rendering and design, using programs like autodesk Maya and zBrush. Those are the reason why I plan to upgrade to the 4930k in the future. I also game of course :P

Lol hey don't mock my 4 year old monitor. It's a BEAST!

When do you play on upgrading? Q2 2014? Q3 2014? Why not get the 4930K instead? If you're going to be upgrading, why not get the newest processor?

My bad, I meant to say the 4930k

Haha still, I never understand why people spend SO much money on the tower...and yet they use such mediocre displays. It's what you're looking at the ENTIRE time you use the system!

*shrug*

A little under half of my next build budget is display haha.

Save money and get a mid range mobo (you don't need it) and put the saved money towards a decent monitor. Dude your 16, you don't even need socket 2011,

PC: Corsair C70 Arctic, FX 9370, Corsair H80i, Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3, Corsair Vengence 16gb, Palit JetStream GTX 970, OCZ Vertex 4 128gb and Western Digital Blue 1Tb + 500gb, Antec Gamer 520w

Peripherals: Logitech G19 and SteelSeries Sensei RAW

Toshiba L50-A: i7 4700mq, 8gb, 1TB HDD, GT 740M 2gb

Thanks for everyones help! I have thought about it and realized it would be pretty dum to spend that much on this motherboard. Perhaps I will upgrade in the future when I can use it to its full potential. I think I will pick up the gigabyte x79-up4. Once again. Thank you! If it weren't for you guys I may have made a decision I would regret.

Well i love my gigabyte board and after having a look at that board, i think you should go with it, it will handle any upgrades you want and probably has more features then you need!
