Link Aggregation with USB-to-Ethernet adapter?

I have one 1Gbe port on my motherboard and I also have a USB 3.0 to Gbe Ethernet Adapter.

Would I theoretically be able to use Link Aggregation with an appropriate network switch to get 2Gbps throughput?

Depends on the os and setup, but where its using software for link aggreation, it should work.

 

But normally usb nics just aren't great

 

Also if your trying to speed up filecopies on your network you probaly don't want link aggreagation, smb3 is a better option, and easier to setup and use.
