  1. Hello I was wondering if anyone was able to help me find the best monitor control panel settings. I typically just use it for gaming. It is Gsync compatible and I leave it on. I was wondering which settings for the monitor would be best for my case. Is leaving the monitor 10 bit okay or is it better to have it 8 bit for gaming? Should I have the colour format as RGB or ycbcr444? Also should I change these settings for HDR and SDR gaming or can I have them the same for both? I typically have HDR on if the game supports it. Are there any other colour settin
  2. Hi, I am wondering if anyone has the Acer 4K CB282K Monitor and if they know if it is G-Sync compatible? I know it is a FreeSync monitor but was wondering if anyone has had luck with Nvidia Cards. I plan on buying the monitor used and see a good deal - if anyone know if Adaptive sync works with Nvidia Cards then I am going to pull the string and buy it. Thanks!
  3. Does anyone else have errors for Batman Arkham Knight and keeps crashing? I am playing this game from the Epic Games Store and whenever I play the game for a few minutes the game crashes and goes to the desktop. I also get an error which says Fatal Error! BUILD_JULY_2012... Does anyone know what the issue would be? I have a 3600 and a GTX 1070 which should be more than fine for this game. I have this game on EGS (got for free) and I actually bought it on Steam hoping it was an error related to the EGS but returned once I realized I was getting the same crashes.
  4. Should have phrased that differently - So does that mean if I use an APU with an AM4 motherboard with DisplayPort that I will for sure get Freesync?
  5. So doe that mean all AM4 motherboards with DisplayPort will automatically support FreeSync? I've checked specs of many AM4 motherboards with DisplayPorts and they all do not mention Freesync.
  6. Wondering if all AM4 motherboards will work with Freesync monitors. Assuming I am using an appropriate APU. Or does Freesync ONLY work with dedicated graphics cards. Thanks,
  7. Hello, I am building a coworker a budget system and was wondering what the best option would be for a workstation. They're getting an Ryzen 2700 & 32GB of RAM. He told me he uses the following software: Zbrush Unity 3D Unreal Engine AliceVision I have seen some graphics cards on the used marked and was wondering what the best one to get is. Out of the ones below which would be the best recommendation for his use case? Potential cards; Nvidia Quadro M4000 (8GB) ~$200CAD Nvidia GTX 1070 (8GB) ~$220CAD
  8. I am wondering if the first PCIe x1 (slot under the x16) slot on this Motherboard will be available if I install a 2.5 or 2.7 slot wide Graphics Card. Or is the only way that this X1 slot will available is if the Graphics Card is maximum 2 slots? Thanks,
  9. My NAS is configured to LACP Link Aggregation and I am able to get bandwitdh from that those 2 bonded 1Gbps ports. Is there a reason why this wouldn't be these case on a PC? Assuming there's enough traffic to saturate the bandwidth and connected to an appropriate managed switch with LACP.
  10. Thank you! So theoretically, I would be able to use a 3-port NIC and *hopefully* not experience any bottleneck.
  11. Hi, I am wondering if it's possible to do Link Aggregation/LACP with my motherboard's built in 1Gbps port and an additional 1Gbps port card. Is this possible to get 2Gbps theoretical speeds (In Link Aggregation/LACP mode) if I use the built in NIC and one 3rd party NIC? Was thinking of getting a card like this one on eBay so I get an additional NIC and some extra USBs. Thanks,
  12. Hi, I have a motherboard with an extra PCIe 3.0 x1 slot. I wanted to put a NIC like this Dual Port Gigabit PCI Express Server Network Adapter Card and was wondering if the PCIe 3.0 x1 will bottleneck a 2-port gigabit card that's using full bandwidth. Let's say I configure it to Link Aggregation/LACP and make it effectively 2gbps. Will the PCIe 3.0 x1 slot bottleneck this card? If so, how much of a hit would it take? Thanks,
  13. Hi, unfortunately I did not fix the issue and had to chuck the drive. If you have warranty though I would suggest RMA the drive if you can.
  14. Thank you very much Mateyyy!
  15. Hi, I have a set of 5 Arctic F14 PWM PST Fans and I would like to know the wattage of the fans. Reason being is that I have an NZXT Sentry 3 on the way and it notes that it can carry 15W per channel and there are 5 channels. What's the math calculation for for Fan power consumption in Watts? Fans specs are as below: Typical Voltage: 12V DC Current: 0.11A Start-up Voltage: 6.0V DC (@ 100% PWM) Would it be safe to daisy chain two fans off one channel header? Thanks!
