I was looking to buy another gtx 680 lightning to SLI instead of buying a 780 or 780ti since I'll probably be building a new rig with the 800 series and Haswell E later this year. Is $340 a decent price for a used 1 on Ebay?

Has anyone SLI'd 680s or even 680 Lightnings, if so how did they perform. Thanks.

That is what I had my buddy get when he built his first system. i7 3770k, msi z77 mpower, 16gb patriot viper, SLI msi 680 lightnings. Don't think there has been a game he hasn't be able to play completely maxed out at 1080p and over 100fps. Besides crysis 3 of course but that game is optimized by fucking rocks so they can keep the can it run crysis thing going.

Sky Pollution | i5 3570k @4.8Ghz | MSi z77a g45 | MSi GTX 770 Gaming 2gb | Samsung 840 Evo 250gb, Samsung OEM 500gb HDD | Corsair CX750m | Corsair 760t White Edition |
Corsair M95 | SuperLux 668b's | Logitech C615 | ViewSonic VX2250wm | Random OEM keyboard until I rage break it and grab another random OEM keyboard from my pile.

I bought it. I figured the lightnings are hard to find so its worth a few extra bucks over the other 680s that are going for 300-320ish.

Next upgrade is a 1440p monitor. Hopefully these bad boys perform well with more pixels. I know the 2gb vram is smaller than ideal.

Thanks guys.
