Before anyone yells at me, yes I know that Ryzen processors are a better value chip at this time, but I got a LGA 1151 motherboard for Christmas so I had to get an Intel chip. Is the GTX 1660 Super a good card to pair with the Core i5-9400f? Sorry if this is the wrong forum category.

9400f is decent, works well with a 1660S.

What motherboard do you have?

I usually pair my chips with some fava beans and a fine Chianti, but to each their own 🤪

Yea it will work together (just wanted to make sure you didn't have a 100 or 200 series LGA 1151, which would not work with a 9400f).

But I would - as @5x5 suggests - sell the board and get a B450 + 3600 or 3700X. Gets you higher performance.

But a 9400f would be okay too.
