Online review are normally a very bad sample, so Id almost ignore them.

 

I have a few of these drives, there fine. 2tb, smr. FIne for desktops and games, don't use them for raid or nas uses.

Its your average HDD, on par with a WD blue from my understanding, I wouldent worry about it unless you were going to run in it a server or use it for surveillance recording or something

 The Wannabe is no longer. Replaced by the Flotilla. If you replace every part of a computer is it still the same computer?

I have a 2TB Barracuda with 10k power on hours that I used for temporary media storage, works fine.

7200 rpm is good enough for home use. Seabass9900 is right, until you put it into the server, that drive should not let you down.

And, if they provide good warranty, why not take it?

Buying new in 2020, a hard drive is a hard drive. If you're using it for just game storage and not for like a boot drive or important data, anything from a known brand will be just fine. There hasn't really been any notable advancements in HDD technology for years, just capacity.
