I have to share my internet with a few people and i am curious that if i have a gigabit switch with 2 gbit connection will it output max 1 gbit each port or output 1gbit total?

A gigabit is usually full duplex on each ports.

That means a 5 port Gigabit switch can do do 1 gigabit up & 1 gigabit down on each port.

Of course that is 1 gigabit up/down on the 'main port' too, so you can't exceed those speeds. So everyone on that single switch will have to share that 1 gbit up/down on the 'main port'.

Depends, if you connect only 1 port from the router to the switch then it's going to only be able to handle a gigabit of traffic out to the internet.
