Go to page 17 of your manual and look at the connector diagram there. Pull the connector off the power switch and then use your screw driver to touch bother of the pins at the same time.  If it still doesn't start then, it sounds like it's either the motherboard or PSU are bad.

So I finished building my first pc, but I have a problem, when I turn on the power supply and push the power button on the case nothing happens, nothing turns on. My build is the following

Motherboard: B450 aorus M

CPU: Rayzer 7 (Included cooler)

RAM: 2 Fury HyperX 8GB

SSD: Kingstone 260GB

Hard Drive: 1TB SEAGATE Barracuda

GTX: 1650

I hope someone can help me :C

 

edit: Another question related to this. When you turn on the PSU does the fan of the PSU also turns on? or does it turn on until pres the power switch on the front panel?

 

edit: Got it working, I quadrupled checked the connections and now it does work. Thanks so much to everybody, you all are the best :D

No LEDs turn on? No fans turn on? etc.

First thing I would check is:

1. are the front panel headers properly plugged in (in particular, the power button header)

2. is the PSU turned on

3. are all the PSU cables properly plugged in (on both sides)

Yeah make sure your front panel connectors are plugged in correctly. It's easy to screw those up. You can bypass this by shorting them out with a screw driver. Also make sure you 24pin and CPU connectors are fully plugged in properly

When you built the PC, there were front panel connectors that you plugged into the motherboard - right?   Please make sure you are using the correct spot on the motherboard.  My first PC build ever was just a few weeks ago and i used the wrong jumpers on the motherboard for the power button and had the exact same issue as you are describing.

Yea no fans and no LEDs. Well when I turn on the PSU a little LED strip on the motherboard turns on for a second

1. I already checked them and they're ok, still, I'll double check

should be there. if it's not there, you motherboard doesn't have the right bios for your 3700x, and you'll have to use an older cpu to boot and update bios before booting with the 3700x.

Go to page 17 of your manual and look at the connector diagram there. Pull the connector off the power switch and then use your screw driver to touch bother of the pins at the same time.  If it still doesn't start then, it sounds like it's either the motherboard or PSU are bad.

Ok, does it matter if the screwdriver has magnetic point?
