Asus Monitor VG278HE 144HZ with MSI RTX 2060

Hi All,

Previously I had a Zotac 1060 mini card which was giving me 144hz refresh rate on Asus VG278HE monitor through DVI Cable(while 1060 had inbuilt DVI output port).

but now I have upgraded to MSI RTX2060 card which doesn't have DVI port on it so I am connecting through Dual link converter(Display port to DVI) but it does not showing any option of more than 60hz rather than 144hz in setting.

So Help me

How can I get 144hz refresh rate with these ?

Card:- MSI RTX2060

Monitor:- Asus VG278HE

Cable:- DVI Duallink

Converter :- DP(Display Port) to DVI (Dual link ++D)

Am i missing something ?

Is it not possible?

I have to buy something else?

You should just use a HDMI. But in the future get a moniter with a display part that way you'll get the best performance.

Is it limitation of monitor or my Graphic card ?

does this configuration(Combination) not support the 144hz refresh rate

It limitation of the actual cable it doesn't matter it both can get 144 fps/hz if the connection is bad then it ruins everything. So the connect proable doesn't support it. HDMI is ur best option

It might be the DisplayPort to DVI adapter in some cases.

You need to carefully read the product description for those adapters -- some can only do 60Hz...for some reason.

HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort is capable of delivering 144+ Hz, and higher resolutions.
