Hi everyone, I've noticed that my keyboard, mouse, and monitor are starting to look pretty nasty. I've tried looking for advice online, but there seems to be a lot of conflicting information from what I've seen. I decided to ask the experts on here, so I can get the best advice on cleaning my stuff specifically. I've attached some photos and as you can probably see both my keyboard and mouse have some grime in the most used spots which I can only guess is a buildup of sweat and skin crap. I've tried all sorts of methods of trying to clean this stuff off in the past, but the only method I've tried that works is physically scratching the stuff off which gets pretty messy real quick. Especially when the stuff then falls and gets stuck between the keys. My monitor has those little spots of dust and I'd like advice on getting rid of those too. Thank you!

Keyboard:

I usually pull my keycaps, put them in a container with some warm soapy water, put a lid on it and shake. Then rinse and dry them off (Let them sit, water can be stuck to the underside of them) and a paper towel should take whatever is leftover off.

While the keycaps are off take compressed air and q-tips to the keyboard itself.

Mouse:

damp rag?

Monitor:

Microfiber, water. Very mild soap if you need it.

If my keyboard is especially gunky, I pull the keycaps, then I usually use a compressor to blow off anything it can first, then as above with the soapy water in a container etc.
