Help finding a laptop for a picky friend

I'm trying to help a friend find her next laptop with a budget of around 1k USD, that will be used for mainly programming, but I need some help. She's requiring it to have a glass screen and it cannot be a macbook. Max screen size of 15. She doesn't play games often, maybe some light games but definitely no triple A games. If possible, decent IO is preferred: dongles are not a favorite. And it needs to have enough storage to dual boot windows and Linux. Any help with the search is greatly appreciated.
