I have a quick question:

I was thinking about using: "860 PRO SATA 2.5" SSD 1TB" as the only "hard drive" on a computer build. I was wondering if that would be a good idea?

This is going on an old Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P ATX AM3+ Motherboard. I plan on using this computer for work (it won't involve anything like SolidWorks or video editing), a little bit of gaming (Minecraft, Kerbal Space Program, Don't Starve, Team Fortress 2, and other older games), and general daily use (internet usage with chrome, etc). I ask this question, because I have read that SSD's can be written on a limit number of times. I have also read some reviews (although there are not many like this) where their SDD failed within 5 years. Do you folks have any advice or thoughts about this build?

(You help would be appreciated)

It'll be fine, at least no worse risk than using a hard disk. 1TB is pretty large so you'll have a fair amount of write endurance. As with any storage, you should have backups of important data for when it fails. It will happen some day regardless what you buy.

As long as it has enough space for all your stuff it will work great.

Also, SSDs last way longer than HDDs.

Definitely fine, better than HDDs though, many old reviews about decade old SSDs and such.
