So this is my 1st build ever - I was a console guy since the OG Nintendo. Here are the pecs on my projected build, not completed still buying hardware; (x) = bought

Mobo -      Asus Tuf x750

CPU -       Ryzen 5 3600 + included heat sink  (x)

GPU -       Sapphire nitro+ rx 5700 xt

PSU -       EVGA Supernova 550W 80+ gold   (x)

RAM -      T-Force Delta 16g DDR4 3200        (x)

SSD -       WD 1TB Black SN750 NVMe M.2    (x)

Case -      Fractal Design Vector RS Blackout ATX (x)

Monitor -  Asus VG279Q

Any suggestion from some veteran builders?

I figured on a budget of about $2000 all said and done including all peripherals

build outside the PC first so you know it all works

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Looks like a good build.
Most important thing is take your time!
Be careful and all will be ok.

Oh and since you're building outside first, let me give another hint. If you put on the CPU cooler well enough you can use that to grab the motherboard and place it in the case with. It should be strong enough to cary the motherboard and CPU and RAM. (just dont try with GPU thats a bit to much hehe).

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

Change the power supply to a RMx 550W and get a cheap CPU cooler for maximum boost. The EVGA power supplies aren't great recently

I do have a rookie question, do I need a disc drive to install my O.S.? last time I installed windows was about 15yrs ago it was on a physical disc, is it still that same today?

Make a bootable USB using the free Microsoft tool. All you need is an 8GB USB drive
