My macbook has NO OS and it won’t let me install the version that it came with

Install offline, don't download anything, it should be fine.

it didn’t work, I formatted the WHOLE drive

Why are you downloading stuff? As fas as i know, Lion doesn't need to be connected to the internet for installing.

The drive was formatted COMPLETELY, so, I don’t think it will work -_-
