If you can afford it, the  3600 is definitely worth it in the long run. But for just gaming it won't be worth it.

a budget gaming PC benefits from the savings of the 3500, might make the difference between an RTX 2060 and an RTX 2060 super.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Wow, that's a 60% increase. I'd say if you can afford it, it would be worth the investment. But......your 3600 costs over 20% more than ours do in the US.

Might want to consider the new 3300x when it launches (soon?). It will be pretty close to the 3500 in gaming performance from a core/thread perspective, as it is a 4/8 chip, and perhaps better in some other multi-threaded tasks.

But it also is rumored to be only using a single CCX- so it may have better gaming performance due to lack of inter-CCX latency.

The USD price is rumored to be around $135, so i would personally get that over the 3500x.
