I need some help. Lost as to what’s wrong

FarmMan247

My computer takes about 10 minutes to work properly. It loads windows instantly however is so laggy that I can’t do anything. I noticed that my RGB on my GPU isn’t on when the computer starts. However, once the RGB turns on, the PC works perfectly fine and amazingly! Graphics are good right off the bat which confuses me because if the GPU had problems, it wouldn’t display a perfect image? Right? Right? Idk? Performance is perfect after this 10 minute grace period. I took out my GPU, cleaned it, plugged it back in and made sure everything was plugged in properly. Still the same result. Any suggestions?

Full specs would help. Initially as general advice I'd say you want to take a look just how much is set to run at start up, which applications and if any of them are known for being a pain in the arse or any of them conflict etc.

I disabled discord, steam, and Spotify at startup when I got my PC because of this issue. Nothing boots up at startup other than windows itself..

Make sure got latest drivers for everything etc, give it a try booting into safe mode and see whether it's nippier that way around.

Also look into your Event Viewer subsection System, and see if there are any Red X's, especially as it relates to Disks.

Sorry I took so long to respond! There are no Red X’s related to any disks/drivers.

Did you try to get into Safe mode, and see if it loads faster there?

It could be just Windows Defender running at startup, indexing, etc.

Thanks everyone! Today it just booted up immediately so somehow the problem must be fixed. I’ll go into safe mode and see if it works there if the issue arises again! If that doesn’t work, I’ll be back! Thanks!
