Actually MANY people on this forum run 1440p mate. Not so much 4K yet, but 1440p is very common here. The 670 may run fine. But that's not maxed, like many people like to play. My heavily OCed 680 is beginning to stutter in new titles like ARMA 3 and Star Citizen, even the Hangar rapes my card. My laptop can run games fine.

In my OPINION, people get these cards for running games at higher than 1080P or just want to be ready for THE FUTURE. Have you ever heard of the FUTURE? Saying a 670 runs ALL GAMES fine is like saying Milk will still be drinkable ALL THE TIME. A 670 will not be sufficient in the future, neither will Titans/780s, but people buy higher end cards to get more out of their system.
