Ethernet cable - about 50 meters - will lose speed?

Hi. 

These Corona days makes U do things. 

 

I would like to stretch an Eth cable (Cat 5 / 5e) for about 50 meters. 


Will I lost speed?

cat 5e is good for 1gbps over 100m

For ethernet, speed runs at one of the given link speeds(like 10gbe, 1gbe, 100m), and unless you have errors or dropouts, it will run at that speed.

If the distance exceeds ten feet, you might be better off upgrading to no lower than a Cat6 cable instead for the added protection and theoretical speed.

Not really, I got me a Cat6a cable on Amazon for ten bucks. Its mainly the length of the cable that determines the price.
