Replace my 660 with 290?

So I've got a 660 in my rig right now, and recently I bought a R9 290 just for mining altcoins purposes. I'm just wondering if it would be better to later on when I'm not mining anymore to either: get another 660 and run SLI OR put my single 290? 

Also what games would I be able to run at ultra/max settings at 1080p? I'm ready for your opinions!

plain old 660 is kind of meh

 

go 290 or 780.

 

A 770 can handle almost everything (pretty much everything with FXAA)

780 can do anything

290 can do anything

I would just run a single R9 290 GPU instead of SLI GTX 660's.

if in the US, go with the nvidia 770 or 780 as the amd cards are over priced cause of mining.

 

if in a difference country where amd cards aren't affected, go 290 over 660 sli

He already has the 290 So, there is no reason why he should buy a 3rd GPU (780).

I don't think they are anymore. I would just go with your single more power GPU instead.

Depends on pricing. 

Either option should max out the majority of games.
