Workstation build 2020

I’m currently starting a workstation build for 3D modeling and vfx. I’m looking at the 3950x and 3960x as my cpu. The problem I’m having is will I be getting going with the 3960x vs. the 3950x? Is the performance that much better? I might possibly want to add another gpu in the future so I’m not sure which one would benefit more. Any help/advice is appreciated, thanks

Any idea that why you're choosing AMD over Intel? Is it for the Graphics card.... ??

Also if you're go with 3950x, you will have high turbo frequency , so inturn the heat dissipation is less and the 3960x has more no. of cores than the 3950x.

difference is what you'd expect from 16 to 24 core. so almost 50% in multithreaded loads.

because it is better right now

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

Intel should barely be considered for this segment unless you need HEDT and are strapped for cash but even then AMDs 3900X and 3950X offerings are extremely compelling options.
