osx Hackintosh in 2020?

So how are hackintosh machines doing in 2020? I'm interested in exploring the OS for free however I don't know much going into it. What should I know before jumping into it?

Might try it on my Acer Aspire E15 laptop - intel i5 - 2C/4T x 2,6GHz up to 3,2 GHz, 8GB DDR3 RAM, some trashy hd graphics and a GTX 940m. So it's not the worst but since I was going to install a not yet decided which distro of linux, thought that I might as well try this thing first.

Nvidia graphics are a no-go for any hackintosh. They won’t work and you’ll be stuck to the iGPU only.

9XX / maxwell is still supported, the last generation that have osx driver.

For OP, just follow some tutorial in youtube.

Hackintosh installers are getting better and easier, i don't know with your hardware, but it's been easier in PC.

thanks guys, but I was just wondering how viable hackintoshes are these days. What can you do inside OSX and what is locked? I know cloud services are off the table, basically the whole apple eco-system is as well. What would be a reason (beside my tinkerish nature) to create a hackintosh in 2020?

if you build a proper install they you should have all apple features working totally fine. My Hackintosh has everything from iMessage to iCloud Apple Music tv BASICALLY EVERYTHING.

Apart from hackintosh, LTT did a video showing Mac OS running in virtualised system (With Nvidia Graphics Card and AMD CPU) Maybe that could help
