None of my 3 mics work. Tried Everything. So Frustrated

I Have Updated Drivers to windows reccomended, and ROG Drivers. Nothing. Bought a new headset. Nothing. Bought a new splitter. Nothing. Gone into a absolute CRAP TON of windows audio settings. nothing. The mic is the default, ive tried front panel audio, nothing registers. motherboard is an ROG Strix X470 Gaming-I and the headset is a kraken x. the odd thing is discords mic test will most of the time pick it up, sometimes it just turns to static, dont think my pc is that loud, and when I try to call someone, Nothing. Please Help ive been struggling with this for a week and a half now. ithink its possibly my mobo rn and I built the pc like 7-8 months ago, so my mobo is out of warranty.

In the worst case, you may need to purchase a USB or PCIe audio card if the integrated one on your motherboard is damaged. Could be that your audio port may have collected dust or other contaminant/s which are blocking the signal, try cleaning out your headphone/audio jack. Run the "Lite"/free version of DriverEasy to scan for and correct any present driver issues (Windows update doesn't always give you the best drivers for your computer system).

I don't know if it helps but this sometimes helps me with a similar problem with settings, I've never figured out why the levels get reset or turned off sometimes but I suspect it's driver updates sometimes and muting sound in games other times;

Open Windows Sound Settings through the Nvidia Control Panel,

Choose Recording tab, right click on the device and select Properties,

In Properties click the Recording tab and check the levels.

Boomwebsearch is correct, worst case scenario the audio chip is damaged and you need to find an outboard solution, though, I tend to recommend people grab a USB audio interface over a USB sound card because they do most of the same job, yet the audio interface allows you to use proper microphones in future should you choose to, you don't have to but when it's around (usually under) the price of a comparable soundcard anyway the extra features are just a bonus.

The Behringer UM2 is usually the cheapest XLR audio interface to buy new in stores, when looking at USB sound cards ( if nothing else fixes the issue) I'd keep it in mind.
