Yes, it's for gaming. it's 144hz monitor.  RE2 & etc

also i have 1tb of M.2 Samsung Evo970 SSD

I would look into the RTX 2060 Super or the AMD counterpart, which would be an RX 5700.

That is if you want to reach 144fps in RE2. Some other games might have a much easier time getting 144fps (for which a 1660 Super would already be enough) and some other games are more intensive and would require more horsepower.

But I think a 2060S/RX 5700 is a good value option for your requirements.

Is this for gaming? Is that monitor 144Hz? What games will you be playing?

Depends on your budget, but I wouldn't go higher than a 2070S with your CPU.

I'd also highly suggest you buy another stick of memory to run in dual-channel, as that will give you a significant boost in performance over single-channel.

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

Display: Gigabyte G34WQC

Agreed, Depending on budget though, the 1660S or ti does seem like itd be OK. if you can, shoot for the 2060s range. next step up that would actually be worth it would be the 2070S. itd work very well but, comes with a price. Also, take advantage of that dual channel memory. get another stick of ram in there. depending on titles, going from single channel to dual channel, you can see a 40fps difference (in some testing of course) but thats in GTA. like definitely get another stick of ram in there.
