Yes, any modern motherboard will have the appropriate slot.

Be sure that the B450 supports 3rd gen, by default you need to use a 2nd or 1st gen ryzen cpu to update the BIOS to support 3rd gen. X570 motherboards support 3rd gen ryzen by default.

The MSI B450 Gaming Plus supports bios flashback.  You can put the bios file onto a usb stick with a specific file name, insert it in the back of the motherboard in a usb slot and press the button there... in about 30s-1m the motherboard will read the bios from the stick and program it.

It will do this even without a cpu inside the cpu socket. 

 

So the board is a safe purchase, it will work fine.
