Is the ASUS PG27UQ a good choice on a $1300 budget?

Swiftfeather

What's up y'all, I've been running an ASUS PG279Q for the past 3 or 4 years, been thinking about buying another one for a while now.

I live in a place where I can't sample a bunch of high end monitors next to each other, which brings me here.

I currently have an RTX 2080 Super so I can run most monitors fairly competently.

What would be your recommendations for the best looking 1440p monitors?
My budget is $1300
I might be willing to do 4K or ultrawide.
HDR and very very good color reproduction is what I'm looking for, I LOVE vibrant, crisp displays.
Must be higher than 60 Hz.

VESA mounts required.

I've done some research and found the PG27UQ Ticks pretty much all my boxes, AND is just barely within my budget since it's been out nearly 2 years. Is it a worthwhile monitor?

Wow that looks to be a beast of a monitor. I bet the 165Hz refresh rate isn't great though..

Considering this monitor has a decently wide color range, If you don't have one already I would also pick up a color calibrator like an i1 Display Pro. Otherwise if you're just eye-balling it, it might look fine in games, but garbage and inaccurate in everything else.
