(incredibly stupid but i have like 14 win xp keys so ill use one of those xD)

I went with the 7970 instead of the R9 280x because the hash rate is 50 more and it was ~$35 less.

What do you guys think about this? anything you would change?

Yes but, a cx430  running at ~80% 24/7 I'd rather not.

Also, I think r9 270's are the most khash/ dollar but I'm not completely sure about that

There's no need for a hard drive run the system on a flash drive

I think the cpu most people are using are semprons as the cpu performance doesnt matter and get the cheapest motherboard you can, you want to put most of your cash into the gpus

that card and psu are good unless you want to expand, you would then need another / more powerful power supply

system draws 399 watts and with a 24/7 operation electricity is a factor so that why i wanted the 80+bronze

Get rid of the case and make your own. Get a platinum PSU from Seasonic or Corsair, and you could probably get a cheaper processor as well.

I'm talking stability, it's VERY low end, I wouldn't trust it to run 24/7 like that.

At current dogecoin rates it'd probably only take like 3 months, all mining is a long term investment. If the parts die after a year, he'll profit probably enough to buy 2 more of these systems, and warranty the broken one.

I would go with an Intel Celeron G1610. Cheaper and still a dual core. Other than that, looks good.

i would like to use the pc occasionally as a back up pc to game on so i would like a ok-ish cpu, and i got a SLI/Cross-fire MoBo so i can upgrade in the future

Get a larger and better PSU so it's more stable to run 24/7 and if you want to add more cards the extra watts can come in handy :)

I used a Doge calculator and got 5 - 6 months based on 400w usage, 12 cent a kw/h power cost, and a 700 hash.

I'd look for used parts (the RAM, motherboard, etc) to help cut down on the up front cost. And like others have said, run it off a flash drive.

The G1610 is still an okish CPU. It has Ivy Bridge Architecure and in hindsight, is a watered down i3.

i game MC (like my profile) and you need at least a high-end i5 or a cpu like mine to run the game at max settings at over 60 fps xD, a pentium dual core at 2.1 GHz (like the intel B950, in my laptop) runs the game at mid-low settings at 27 fps.... lawl

sooooo, i need a good cpu, the one i got will run the game at mid-max at around 60

If you want the Athlon, go for it. I had a Celeron G540 and played a bit of MC on it with a 5670 a few years ago. It ran it well at max settings. Granted it wasn't 1080p.

I didn't think resolution mattered in minecraft..

Do not use 7970

It is MUCH more profitable with a 7950, or a 280X in terms of Price to performance, I'll throw a rig together for you just gimmie a min
