Hey guys, i wanted to start folding to help in the corona virus research. I just installed folding@home and quickly made an identity, but know my cpu and gpu are sitting at 0% not doing anything. Does  anyone know why this is? Its very likely that i just configured something wrong. I´m sorry that i cant attach a screenshot, the forum only returns an error when i try to attach it.

Open the program 'fahcontrol' on your desktop, go to the 'Log' tab and see what is says.

It probably says something like:

12:00:00:WARNING:WUXX:FSXX:Failed to get assignment from xxxxx: No WUs available for this configuration

Long story short, there are more people wanting to fold than there are WU's to fold. That means not everyone will get a workload.

My average amount of daily WU's has dropped a lot, from 8-12 to like.. 2-4.

Just gotta leave it running until it picks something up eventually.

I, have another question, my pc is folding know, but it says "These are high-priority **CPU** projects to simulate the main " while computing on my gpu(taskmanager says gpu copy). Is that normal or am i doing something wrong?

It appears that this is an error in the description.

Someone has reported it on the Folding@Home forums.

I just started this weekend and  was having this issue all weekend along with the infinite reloading web control. I blocked all cookies and site data from https://client.foldingathome.org and haven't had either issue resurface yet again today. Hope this helps. :)

this was (i think an update fixed it; it works for me) an issue in chrome. you could get around it using incognito, or another browser or with the local software

Personally I just use the advanced control over the web control (in your task bar, show hidden icons, right click the F@H icon and click advanced control). It doesn't look as nice as the web control but I haven't run into any of the problems most people have been seeing with Web (like the endlessly reloading page, advanced control wont help with the lack of currently available work units tho just have to wait and hope you get some)
