Recently moved PCs - Harddrive question

Good afternoon everyone,

 

I just upgraded my 6 year old pc, and reinstalled windows due to it now being amd vs before where it was intel. I have 2 other drives with various programs on them, how can i get windows to recognize the programs in the apps list without having to uninstall and reinstall every program? 

 

For example: Steam on D:/ -- does not show up in start menu or Add/remove programs list.

You'll have to reinstall the app(s) in order for the OS to recognise them again.

 

Once you have reinstalled Steam app you can change the default steam library path to point to the games stored on D drive (File > Settings > Downloads > Steam Library). So you don't have to redownload all games stored on that drive.

Im sorry but you have little choice. As to just reinstall.
Else you would have to make all the registry additions yourself and who knows what else.

You game library on the other hand should be ok.
Just tell Steam to use a (unfortunatly empty folder) and then just copy over your games in there start Steam back up and you should be at least a little closer.

Try running the programs. Best case is all dependencies and regedits get made, worst case is you have to reinstall.
