PSU : TX 650 M 80+ Gold

 

Hello Good Afternoon , Currently in my System i have connected to the motherboard the cpu power cable 4+4, theres the 4 pin cpu power on the Mob that im not using ,is it necessary to be connected as well ? , im Asking this because i have failed to boot twice in the last couple months and what happens is the fans start spinning everything powers up but the cpu light goes steady red on the motherboard and the pc does not boot, so Im guessing it can be because of the power ? , my Psu is the Tx 650 m 80 + Gold Corsair, also were can i buy the 4 pin cable ? can you send me a link , thank you
