Why Microsoft prevents us from intalling regular Windows in XBOX?

Installing windows in xbox is impossible. Why microsoft doesn't let it happen? This could have given them a great advantage over playstation. Good for business.

Because it would circumvent security systems (to protect the system and games) and would ruin a segment of the market.

What advantage would this give them?

 

If you were gonna do that, you'd just install Windows onto a regular PC instead.
