I have been running the vegas gpu from the 2200g for the last year and i cant do it anymore. I want to buy a gpu but i dont have a lot of money. Ι can spend approximately 180 euros on a new gpu and im considering buying an rx 580 8gb. Do you guys recommend me something better?

NVENC encoding, Ray tracing, and other such Turing features.

Linus did a Christmas video where he mentioned why sometimes those new features are better than pure performance that’s slightly better.

Nah it’s not essential at all. I’m using an MSI Optix MAG271CQR and an EVGA XC2 Ultra 2080 Ti and without Gsync I don’t notice any problems whatsoever.

Dude the RX 580 will do it's 256-bit so you can crank the details and the 1650S only has that encoder the RTX you get if you donate a kidney and it's 128-bit. The Freesync is Radeon-native

I wasn’t trying to say the RX 580 is bad. It’s not a bad card at all. I’m just saying according to Linus that some of the Turing features are worth having at the expense of slightly less performance.

Except that the features that Linus was talking about are mainly about the RTX cards and not the Turing in general, everything below the 2060 only have nvenc as a better feature than Radeon cards and that I think is only in the Super variants as the older ones(at least some of them) i believe still used the Pascal nvenc.

On topic: Go for the cheaper, 1650 Super if they cost the same due to the better efficiency. Don't get the non-Super 1650 as it is really bad.

Read my post and what i quoted you saying, inwas Replying to your comment on their cooling, not performance, and I don’t really see the benefit of having touring when you can’t make use of it ?

I have been running the vegas gpu from the 2200g for the last year and i cant do it anymore. I want to buy a gpu but i dont have a lot of money. Ι can spend approximately 180 euros on a new gpu and im considering buying an rx 580 8gb. Do you guys recommend me something better?

be warned that AMD over the last few weeks has also been having an issue with their drivers if it wasn't already mentioned. people downloaded the latest one which is the 20.2.2 and found out it has problems and redownloaded the 20.2.1 to get it to work correctly. my budget is way higher than yours so I have been looking at the rtx 2070 supers myself but those are 3x your budget. I would go with the Nvidia over the AMD for the reasons some of the people have said in previous comments to this one.
