Will this PCIE cable work for a 6+8pin GPU?

platysaur

Hi guys, I'm trying to learn more about computers before I upgrade. I have a question about my PCIE power cable for a GPU. The one that came with my 1660ti looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/XXtdBFS.jpg (I have a spare). It has two 6-to-8pin connectors, but it looks like one PCIE connector is part of the same cord for the other, but I could be wrong. If I buy a 2070 super that has a 6 pin and 8 pin connector, will this cord work? Or will I have to use a second cord as well? Thank you for dealing with my silly question, but I just don't know!

yes, those both count as 6+2 pin connectors and you can use them both at the same time.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Thanks guys! I never had much confidence in myself when it came to PC building (my friend did most of the work for my current build) but I want to gain the confidence to do it myself. This helps so much!
