PC wont boot because of "CPU fan error"

Hi,  I just built my friend's PC with an Asus Prime X470-Pro and it won't let him start his computer because of a "CPU Fan Error". I looked into it and disabled the monitoring of the cooler to try and stop the issue and it worked for a week or so. Now though, he's telling me that its giving the same issue that it did when we initially built and the old fix isn't working anymore.

Does anyone know how to possibly fix this?

Is the cooler fan plugged into the CPU_FAN header?

I think it is, but I'm going to head over to his house soon to look at everything since he isn't sure what to do

If he cleared the BIOS or flashed a newer BIOS then the alert is going to come up each time that happens.

I have this one too from time to time, but it gives me the option to enter Bios, then I leave Bios and PC starts normally.
Happens occasionally, think it has to do with set fan speed being too low , but its only a guess.
Its not bothering me so :D

yeah we flashed a new bios because it's a 3600 on an older board.

Is there no fix...?

Did you update the BIOS, and then disable the warning? Did your friend do anything within the BIOS that would cause the setting to be reset? Is it still set as disabled?

Just to be sure: sometimes there are two CPU fan headers. Is it in the main one? Perhaps try putting it in the other one, see if that helps.

You said you disabled it in the original post.

At least you figured it out though.
