Hello,

so I got a new GPU what only takes HDMI and DP. My monitor Benq XL2411 only takes HDMI/VGA/DVI...so what would I need to buy from amazon (UK) to get it working?. any links would be great, as I know there are a lot of fakes out there. just someone what can point me in the right direction with a link to a specific product that would be great :D

No, all standard adapters are single-link only and will be limited to 60 Hz.

That kind of monitor only does 144 Hz on DVI if my memory is correct.

It has to be Dual Link DVI as Single Link DVI is limited to 1920x1200 60 Hz ...

Pretty much all HDMI-DVI cables are DVI single link, because DVI Dual Link would require having a chip inside the cable to process the data packets.

Active DisplayPort to hdmi/vga converters are mostly single link, so you have to explicitly look for an ACTIVE converter that outputs DUAL LINK DVI and which lists more than 60 Hz resolutions on the DVI connector.

You'll find that they're fairly expensive.

@Cloudacy it is Dual Link DVI, but it only uses it to offer resolutions higher than 1920x1200 ... basically, it's to support up to 2560x1600 60 Hz.

If you go on Startech.com and download the user guide/manual/specs pdfs you will probably see there's no mention of more than 60 Hz refresh rate.
