Hi guys.

I have have a dell optiplex (I5-3570, 8gb DDR3)with an upgraded power supply and an rx 580 but im getting stutters in games and I have no clue what it is. The temps are fine for my CPU and i believe my GPU in gta it stutters sometimes.

cpu in games i 99% and gpu is 80% so not much of a bottle neck. I have tried ssd's,max performance in task manager, updated power usage to maximuim performance, set priority on high on games and the list goes on so I really dont know what it could be.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks!

???

The CPU is maxed out, so yeah it's a bottleneck

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Im playing games like paladins rn but that doesn't stutter but gta v and fortnite stutter quite heavily which annoys me but the have a pattern. Both stutter because the roads/buildings aren't loaded in. This happens in loads of games its just i play more easier to run games so usually it doesn't stutter with them. my ram is quad btw

What graphical settings are you using? You may need to adjust them to put more load on the GPU.

Any solutions?

Thanks

a better CPU. the main problem is that your current hardware is too weak for the games you're playing

Gta 60fps

Fortnite 140+ fps

both of these games are hard on the CPU

the only thing I could think is to reduce the population settings in GTA since those are CPU intensive

As the minimum. The game does run, correct? You're getting the minimum experience.

GTA should still run fine, What are your temps and ram usage? Also check if other programs are running in the background.

A sandy/ivy i7 would be ok but only if the price is good (<$60), and I'm not sure I'd trust a random optiplex with a cpu it didn't come with.
