In total, I will have 7 NZXT fans in my case (non-RGB) - how do I connect them all up, since I'm pretty sure no motherboard will have enough pwm connectors to fit each fan.

Couple of fan splitters is the easiest.

Most motherboards will have 2-4 fan headers, so a couple of splitters will do.

Of course don't plug a splitter into a splitter.

Fan splitters, look up the fan amps (sometimes on the fan hub) and how many amps a header can take.

Most headers are good with two fans but pump headers might be good with three.

You can put three not very demanding fans on a normal header but most here wouldn’t recommend it.

My case has three headers and I’m powering 5 fans. I could easily do two more.

google fanhub and find one you like. Check the power rating of your fans. Add it up and check spec for your mobo header.

Either you are inside spec and can run them all from one header (if you even want that) or you will need a powered fan hub which will only take the PWM signal (how fast to spin) from the mobo and draw power elsewhere).

U can use multiple and you should figure out how you want to control your fans. If you connect all to one dumb hub they will all run at the same speed.

You could also get stuff like a corsair command pro just as an example but those 'smart fan hubs' with additiona functionality are stupid expensive

Depends bit on mobo and how you want to control them. You can have 3 fans easily per one mobo header, and if you don't care about individual controls, even more.
