ok it works now thanks but why did it work before in my other board?

Your other board probably had a cpu with integrated graphics, do you know the cpu on your other board?

Do you have another monitor or cable to test.
So we can see if its the monitor or the pc.

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

what do you mean by that?

Where you select which port your monitor should use. There is usually a button that says menu and then switch to HDMI or DP whichever you have connected.

I would suggest by re-seating all of the RAM modules. I had this problem on my Home Theatre PC and it seemed to fix it. Let me know if you have any luck

So, lets start from the beginning:

Your PC does not output any video signal

1.Did you build this PC yourself?

2.If your motherboard has intergrated graphics output, you should try that

3.I would check all cables inside the PC (especially the GPU)

4. When the PC stopped working, did you hear a sound like when you unplug a USB drive?

Is your PC connected via HDMI, DP or something else?

Edit: In the worst case, there could be a problem with the monitor

what do you mean?

Some CPUs have a graphics card integrated with the cpu, for some reason @Meowster thought that yours had integrated graphics, when in fact it did not.

now on the obverse side, if your cable to your monitor is plugged into your mobo, it should be plugged into your gpu.
