What RAM should I get for a ryzen 5 3600?

So with being new to building a gaming pc, all these tech specifications are going right over my head. I’m planning on getting the ryzen 5 3600 (on MSI gaming pro carbon MoBo, heard that mother board was important for ram too) and I can’t figure out what I’m looking for. I know that AMD likes higher speed rams but also cl is a thing and I just don’t have a clue. Any help on what I should look for around under $100 is appreciated, thanks.
