Rx 480 worth it in 2020 for gaming??

I am trying to built a cheap PC for my sibling as a birthday gift and I am thinking about buying a used rx 480 from aliexpress.So my question is,IS rx 480 worth a purchase in 2020??

Considering its overclocked brother, the rx 580, is still among the best budget cards, that would be a yes.

480 consume a lot of power tho

Compared to a gtx 1650 super. Kinda, but its powerdraw is actually pretty decent.

Really decent actually if you compare it to the R9 380 from the previous generation, under full load the 380 draws about 80 watts more than the 480,

Rx480 or rx580 will play any game at 1080p some at ultra some you have to lower to high.

 

Power will be fine dont worry about it any good 450w will keep it happy

 

Dont get any crappy cooler

I'd say yes, though if you could bump up a little to a second hand rx590 it might last longer before time for an upgrade

If you're gaming at 1080p then yes absolutely, I have one in my old PC and used it for 1440p and it was fine at that resolution, obviously lowering some of the settings.
