CPU 25-40% Usage and GPU 80-100%

Im worried about a bottleneck. Is that the case?

Cpu: i7 920 (stock boost)

Gpu: EVGA GTX 750 SC

Motherboard: Asus P6T deluxe v2

Psu: EVGA 500w bronze 

Ram: 6gb of 1066mhz (not completely sure)

In most titles the GPU will be working harder than the CPU. If you upgraded the GPU, you would most likely get better performance, but do you have the budget to?

Not really just more concerned on bottlenecks. 

But my upgrades planed are 

I7 990x 

More ram

New gpu

Maybe water cooling

If your GPU is reaching 100% usage it means it's being fully utilized.

why such old components... like you can find good performing components that are newer and still cheap.

But why i picked such old parts?

It's fine, GPU working to potential and CPU not overworked.

 

If it were the other way round with CPU at 80-100% and GPU at 25-40% it would be a pretty conclusive CPU bottleneck.

Still being surprised by the i7 920 to this date. Especially when it launched in 2008. When its being paired up with a 2014 gpu
